Savor the Start of the Season with StarbucksBy Valis Vicenty
November 07, 2011
You know the holidays are near when Starbucks rolls out its iconic red cups. This year the coffee chain has new delectable delights to sip and snack on to get you into the spirit of the season. For starters, they’re bringing back the favorites, the Gingerbread, Eggnog, and Caramel Brulée Latte. It’s also introducing a slimmer version of our favorite festive indulgence: the Peppermint Mocha. With skim milk, sugar-free mocha sauce and peppermint syrup you can still spoil yourself without packing on the pounds. The Christmas Blend is one of the most anticipated throughout the year. The sweet and spicy mix of Latin America, Asian-Pacific and Sumatra coffees now come in pre-ground and decaf versions. The Christmas Blend Espresso Roast brings together Sumatra, aged Sumatra and Costa Rican beans to create an intense flavor with a spicy finish to give you more of that get up and go during the holiday rush. If you need something to nibble on, there are two new tiny treats you’ve got to try. The new Peppermint Brownie Cake Pop blends peppermint chocolate cake with buttercream icing and candy cane bits. All that decadence and it’s only 170 calories! The Chocolate crème Whoopie Pie sandwiches vanilla buttercream frosting between two cocoa chocolate cakes topped off with a white chocolate drizzle and even comes in a four-pack box to share with friends and family. Sharing sweet indulgences with those you love are what the holidays are all about. Available at Starbucks nationwide for $1.50 -$14.95
