Began his career as a buyer and store manager for shoe designer Charles Jourdan and later relocated to New York to serve as president of Stephane Kelian

Started off designing women’s shoes and later expanded to menswear

Born in the Middle East and raised in Australia, he studied Fashion Design in Melbourne and launched his first label, Jeffrey Monteiro, in 1996

Previously worked with designers like Derek Lam and the now-defunct, Mayle

Keeps balance by meditating twice a day before collections are due

Before striking out on his own, Altuzarra worked under the likes of Marc Jacobs, Givenchy, and Proenza Schouler
