Almost a month before its annual Video Music Awards, MTV has announced its list of 2014 nominees (via SnapChat, no less). While 2013’s Brooklyn installment saw top nominations for Justin TimberlakeMacklemore and Ryan Lewis, Miley Cyrus, and Robin Thicke, this year, the Queen reclaims her throne.

Beyoncé leads the pack with eight nominations, due to her surprise December 2013 release. She has multiple chances to take home the trophy for “Drunk In Love,” “Partition,” and “Pretty Hurts,” which would add to her current collection of 14 Moonmen (12 as a solo artist). Mrs. Carter is followed by Eminem and Iggy Azalea with seven noms apiece; as a result both Bey and Eminem could become the second-winningest artist at the VMAs after Madonna, who has earned 20 throughout her career.

Tune in as the VMAs unfold on August 24 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time on MTV.
