5 Cocktails to Ring in the New Year

The countdown to 2013 has begun, and while you may be ringing in the New Year at home, that doesn’t mean you can’t spoil your guests with spirits they’ll adore. Instead of sticking to plain champagne, you can stir up some of these delicious drinks. Expect to get more than just one kiss when midnight rolls around!

Chandon Midnight Magic

2-3 oz. Chandon Brut Classic
½ oz. Cassis Blackberry Liquer
½ oz. White Port

In a champagne flute, combine the white port and Cassis and top with the Chandon Brut Classic. Garnish with a blackberry.

Apple Rosemary Sparkler by Pinch Food Design

3 oz. Brooklyn Soda Works Apple Rosemary Soda
3 oz. Proseco

Pour the apple rosemary soda into a large glass and top with Prosecco. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary and serve.

Pomchi Smash


1 ½ oz. Ron Abuelo Añejo Rum
2 oz. Cranberry Juice
1 oz. Lemon Juice
½ oz. Simple Syrup
10 Fresh Raspberries
5 Mint leaves
Dash of Angostura Bitters
Ginger Ale

Muddle raspberries with the mint inside a cocktail shaker and add the rest of the ingredients. Shake hard and strain into a highball glass and top with ginger ale. Garnish with raspberry and mint.

Seven Layer Cookie


¾ oz. Godiva Liqueur
¾ oz. Coconut Rum
½ oz. Butterscotch Schnapps
½ oz. Partida Anejo Tequila
¼ oz. Frangelico
½ oz. Bailey’s Irish Cream
½ oz. Amaretto

Garnish rim of a martini glass with crushed cookie crumbs. Shake all of the ingredients in a shaker with ice and strain into the martini glass.

Crave Luscious Mint Russian

1 oz. JDK & Sons Crave Chocolate Mint Liqueur
1 oz. EFFEN Vodka
Splash of Milk

Build ingredients over ice in an old-fashioned glass. Add a splash of milk and top with a sprig of mint.
