A Tweed Jacket That’s Begging to Be Added To Your Closet

By  March 28, 2013

For those of us with champagne taste on a budget, Old Navy has come to the rescue. Beginning on Friday, the store will offer a very chic, very ladylike, and very tailored option that’s bound to sell out before its six week run concludes. The item we’re referring to? A tweed cardigan jacket, which will retail for $40 at the chain’s 1,110 locations.

Global senior vice president of design Michael Ingram Jones found inspiration for the newest addition thanks to stylish women in New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo and Milan. Though the store is known for jeans, t-shirts and basics, Old Navy has been known to test the waters of trendier items. A look at the current offerings in stores highlights more than a few spring trends: chambray, stripes, and printed denim to name a few.
