If these first days of February are any indication of the fashion forecast for this month, we have one word for you: sequins! Looks like some of the chicest stars on the big screen got the memo about trying out the trend stat, because we saw it on multiple red carpets over the weekend. Aside from all the sparkle, though, no two looks were the same.

Naomie Harris glistened at The London Critics’ Circle Film Awards in a light lemon Naeem Khan dress with flirty sheer paneling and fringed details. Cate Blanchett donned a palette of pastel colored sequins in a tile patterned Maison Martin Margiela fit and flare frock, which she wore to accept her Outstanding Performer Award at the Santa Barbara Film Festival. Gwyneth Paltrow made sequins black tie appropriate in an alluring, slinky gown by Prada for the 49th Golden Camera Awards, while Elizabeth Banks attended The Lego Movie premiere in a fun and funky ensemble on the other side of the style spectrum: a cool Osman jumpsuit with sparkling embellishment on the bodice. From flashy to fresh, there’s a lot of ways to style sequins this season. How will you be wearing them?
