A Winning Week for the Afflecks

Ben Affleck wasn’t the only member of his family to receive an award Sunday; looks like his daughter Violet won something too! It may not have been an Oscar like her daddy’s trophy, but Ben and Jen’s oldest daughter did win a spelling contest. “Our daughter was in a spelling bee at the local rec center,” Jennifer Garner told E! on the red carpet. “I was in hair and make-up so I couldn’t take her, so Ben took her in the middle of everything.”  Family definitely comes first for the Afflecks. After all, it was only a mere hours before Ben had to walk the red carpet for the 85th annual Academy Awards that he attended the competition with Violet, but that was no issue. He later dedicated his award for Best Picture to his kids, ending his speech with “Violet, Sam and Sera, this is for you.” What an awesome dad!
