Accessorizing with Actress Turned Designer Nikki Reed

By  May 07, 2013

Nikki Reed cemented her position as a fashion darling thanks to coveted red carpet appearances during the blockbuster momentum also known as the Twilight saga. But she’s not content to stop there. What many may not know (or have yet to realize) is that the beauty actually holds a great passion for creating jewelry. Her great -grandmother was actually a jewelry designer, and provided inspiration for Reed’s first line, Mattlin Era. Now she’s continuing her move into jewelry with 7 For All Mankind!

Reed teamed up with the design house to merge the worlds of fashion, film, and art with a new collaboration. The newlywed created a limited edition collection of 5 pieces—2 necklaces, 2 pairs of earrings and a —inspired by the denim line’s Spring 2013 collection, all centered around love. Not too hard, considering the designer slash actress married American Idol finalist Paul McDonald in 2011.

“When they told me the inspiration for the line was love, it was an organic match,” Reed said. “Mattalin Era has always stood for the love in my heart and I seek inspiration from my family and loved ones.”

“Not only was it important for the jewelry to engage with the denim, but to also tell the same story,” said Barry Miguel, President of 7 For All Mankind. “It’s about giving an extra boast of confidence to take on the world with sophistication and style.”

The pieces are for sale now at 7 For All Mankind boutiques and online at www.74mankind.com. The collection retails for $48-84.
