Aerin Blossoms into a Bouquet of Scents

aerin-lauder-fragrancesAfter launching her own makeup, footwear, and jewelry lines, Aerin Lauder is going back to her roots with her first collection of fragrances.

She’s already off and running with not just one scent but five in total! The wardrobe of Gardenia Rattan, Amber Musk, Lilac Path, Ikat Jasmine, and Evening Rose scents ensure the Aerin girl is covered regardless of the time of year or her mood.

“One of my earliest memories is fragrance,” Lauder told Women’s Wear Daily. “When I think about certain people and moments in my life, fragrance is always involved — whether it’s going for a bike ride and smelling honeysuckle for the first time or gardenias in my hair when I got married. They all evoke memories and stories and moods.”

Gardenia Rattan’s summer spirit is captured in marine notes splashed against the gardenia tuberose, Tahitian tiare, and amber and wrapped in an Aerin for Lee Jofa design called “Sayre.” Amber Musk bottles the best of winter in a “Kenlyn” floral print with a combination of ambrox, coconut water, rose centifolia absolute, benzoin, and musk. Lilac Path, inspired by her grandmother’s summer cottage lilac bush, blends the blossom with galbanum, creamy jasmine lactones, angelica seed oil and orange flower, and dressed in the “Marila” batik print. Ikat Jasmine embodies the modern woman in the form of jasmine sambac and jasmine Egypt infusion with exotic tuberose fleur, honeysuckle, tuberose infusion, and sandalwood boxed in a blue and white floral print. Evening Rose can go from day to night thanks to notes of juicy blackberry, rich cognac, voluptuous rose centifolia, Bulgarian rose absolute, and incense in Lauder and Jofa’s “Hither” pattern.

Lauder will even wrap herself in the shades of the scents for the December-ready campaign in a floral Valentino dress. “It’s reminiscent of vintage Estée Lauder ads,” said Lauder. We can’t wait to add these scent to our own fragrance wardrobe!
