After a bright and poppy collaboration with Jonathan Adler, The Rug Company is headed in a more savage direction.
The home goods retailer has partnered with Alexander McQueen on a collection of rugs, wall hanging, and cushions based on the fashion house’s recent runway looks. According to Women’s Wear Daily, the inspiration stemmed from the Spring 2011 folklore collection, the first Sarah Burton designed for the brand after McQueen’s passing in 2010. Plus, The Rug Company has a few more surprises in store later this year!
The news comes on the heels of Burton signing off on a new fragrance for the fashion house, which marks another first since she took the helm. It seems Burton is expanding her creativity, taking the brand beyond beautiful exhibit-worthy clothes. Though images of the collection are not available, we can only dream up some of the array of innovative options the companies have to improve our spaces!
