“Since the spring-summer 2014 collection plays on the duality of the naïveté and perverse explicitness in youth culture, we wanted to shoot the campaign in a very familiar environment most people grow up reminiscing about,” Wang told Women’s Wear Daily of his inspiration for the campaign. “I loved blurring the lines between censorship and humor.”
Model Anna Ewers is dressed in Wang’s spring collection propped up on a sink in a bathroom stall in the Old School in Soho while photographer Steven Klein snapped away while another image included two pairs of feet peeking out from under a pair of bathroom stalls.
The ad will make it’s debut in mid-January on a billboard located on Lafayette Street and Great Jones Street in New York. It will also run in the spring issues of glossies like Love, CR Fashion Book, Self Service and Interview magazine.
