Amazon Bolsters Its Beauty Section with Luxe to Love

With the launch of its new Luxury Beauty section, Amazon has shifted gears from a marketplace for all consumers to a more curated e-tailer.

This morning saw the birth of the shopping destination newest section, which boasts not just fan favorite brands, including Burberry, Dr. Brandt, Deborah Lippmann, Nars, and much more. Beauty buffs will have an easy time browsing for their must-haves, but will have the option to build skincare regimens as well as purchase entire collections if they’d like, and free samples with purchase! Expect to find more detailed product information, with hi-res images, how-to’s, reviews, and even tips and editorial features from Amazon’s Beauty Editors.

“This is our first step toward offering a refined experience created specifically for customers shopping Amazon for luxury beauty,” said Chance Wales, Director of Beauty and Health & Personal Care for Amazon. “We know that our beauty customers are searching for luxury brands on Amazon. We’ve worked hard to create a single destination that showcases luxury beauty collections and makes it easier than ever for customers to explore these brands, follow trends and develop their beauty regimens.”

Amazon began its journey to an even better shopping experience last year after revamping its fashion section to include runway regulars like Tracy Reese and Vivienne Westwood and shone through Chanel Iman. Though the marketplace has been a a great way to find a few rare gems, we’re psyched to see the e-tailer tackle our favorite section to stock up on our musts.
