With the organic frenzy finally teetering on the edge of trendy, instead of actual informed eco-consciousness -- didn’t you know that green is the new black? -- it’s easy to be misled by the information out there. But don’t be fooled by all the false labels or gimmicks, and don’t feel pressured to be a tree-hugging flower child. Be a savvy, earth-friendly gal by digging into these five beauty lines that deliver eco-and-health friendly products with a mix of 100% natural and organic ingredients – the best quality for your body and the environment.

Pangea Organics
This 100% plant-based line makes it a part of their mission to diligently list every ingredient on their labels– which never includes any synthetic ingredients, petrochemicals, sulfates, dyes or fragrances. And in addition to their holistic approach to beauty, Pangea Organics also supports fair trade practices, sustainable agriculture and continued support for the use of organic ingredients!
Our pick: Eccocentric LipCare in Egyptian Fennel with Grapefruit & Sweet Orange. $13

Nvey Le Maquillage
This budding Aussie line, popular in Europe, and increasingly so on this side of the pond, carries a full line of certified organic makeup free of parabens, talc and other irritating additives found in alternative lines. Nvey’s wide color palette – from their blushes to glosses, cater to a variety of skin-tones and their high color value pigments allow an easy, long-lasting application!
Our Pick: Organic Lip Lustre in Nude. $24

Juice Beauty
Now the go-to beauty line on the sets of shows such as CSI Miami and Boston Legal, Juice Beauty products are made with certified organic
ingredients that are toxin and paraben free. Even more impressively – the line boasts certified organic fruit juice as its’ main ingredient. The juices, which include pomegranate, lemon and white grape, are fresh-squeezed and frozen to be put directly into the product. And of course, Juice Beauty’s packaging is made from recycled material and soy-based ink.
Our pick: Green Apple Nutrient Eye Cream $35.

Suki
Suki Kramer’s failed search to find quality, synthetic-free products that worked efficiently on sensitive skin – especially with conditions like eczema, resulted in the birth of the Suki skin-care line. The 100% all-natural line, with nourishing organic ingredients is gentle enough for almost all skin types and promotes healthier skin with frequent use!
Our pick: Exfoliating lemongrass cleanser. $29.95

John Master’s Organics
Motivated by the idea that caring for yourself and the environment, need not be exclusive of each other, John Masters created his line of luxury organic beauty goods to nurture your hair and body – without harming the environment. The line, also used at his ‘clean-air’ salon, contains no artificial colors, fillers, or fragrances, and certainly no petro-chemicals or other harmful synthetics. All listed organic ingredients are certified and the packaging is bio-degradable.
Our Pick: Honey and hibiscus hair reconstructor. $28
