The Show: Daniel Vosovic
The Hair: Rodney Cutler’s salon gave the girls a roughed up faux bob by spritzing the hair with Redken’s Control Addict 28 High Control Hairspray before blowing sectioning the hair at the temples. The front section is curled with a ¾ inch curling iron and allowing it to cool in a pin curl while the back section was backcombed for extra volume and texture. A cornrow was braided at the base of the neck before the front section was taken out of the pin curls, brushed into a slightly textured wave and pulled into the back section. The bulk of the hair was rolled up and then pinned into the cornrow to create the fauxbob and polished off with a spritz of Fashion Work 12 Versatile Working Spray.
The Makeup: MAKE’s lead artist Kristin Hilton gave the girls a touch of old school glamor without taking away from the pops of color in the collection. She kept the skin clean, save for the Soft Focus Foundation to even the skin tone. The eyes were rimmed with the Gel Eyeliner Pencil in very brown and blended it to the outer corner with the Aubergine Satin Finish Eyeshadow. She also dusted little of the Kalahari Matte Finish Eyeshadow on the lids, crease and the cheeks for a sepia tone finish and a few coats of the Defining Mascara as well as a dab of the Skin Illuminator at the inner corners of the eyes. For the deep lip, she filled in the entire lip with Rum Raisin Lip Liner before going over it with Beetroot Silk Satin Lipstick.
The Mani: Vosovic collaborated with Dermelect to create three exclusive shades for the brand’s ME Fall collection, drawing inspiration directly from the clothes. Celebrity Nail Tech Elle and manicurist Rose Velez crafter a bold ombre using the teal and navy shades from the upcoming collection while second used the mushroom shade and topped with gold striping tape.
