The Show: Jenny Packham
The Hair: With a nod to the ’70s (the decade “Picnic at Hanging Rock” was filmed, serving as inspiration for Packham), Jeanie Syfu created voluminous curls by applying TRESemmé Thrermal Creations Mousse all over and blowdrying with a Mason Pearson. She then spritzed the Thermal Creations Curl Activator Spray on each section using a small iron at the nape, a 1/2-in iron from the ears to the crown, and a 1-inch on top to then curl the hair, pinning them as she went along. Once cooled she took out the pins and teased the hair for more texture and polished it off with a blast of the 24 Hour Body Finishing Spray.
The Makeup: To keep the disco era alive and well int he makeup, Talia Shobrook highlighted the contrast between the two eras by keeping the sweet fresh and innocent with Laura Mercier’s Crème Cheek Colour in “Sunrise,” Foundation Primer – Radiance, and Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 20. She applied silver glitter with a brush and by hand to make them stick. She filled in the brows and swiped on a bit of the Full Blown Volume Lash Building Mascara. To top off the look, Shobrook dabbed the lips with a blend of the Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Spiced Rose and Pink blush.
The Mani: Though she initially had trouble coming up with a name for the sparkling manicure, Gina Edwards crafted a Mystical Fade for the nails by first layering Essie’s Eternal Optimist under Allure. She then trickled A Cut Above and Set in Stones from the cuticle down to mimic the mystical inspiration.
