The Show: Marissa Webb
The Hair: Cutler Salon’s Linh Nguyen took Webb’s theme an ran with it to create two complementary coifs that had a “modern Amy Winehouse” look. Both styles began with a few spritzes of Redken‘s Hot Sets 22 Thermal Setting Mist and Nature Rescue’s Radiant Sea Spray before curling the entire head with a 1 1/2 inch curling iron. The tresses received another spritz of the sea spray, twisted, and blown dry before the curls were broken up with the hands for a messy texture.
The updo started by teasing the top of the head (back to the crown) and then pulled back, twisted, and pinned at the nape of the neck. The bouffant was secured with a heart blast of the Fashion Work 12 Versatile Working Spray. The hair at the temples was tightly pulled back and pinned to the chignon with help from the Hardwear 16 Super Strong Gel. Using a rat-tail comb small pieces were picked from the bouffant for more volume before sealing the style with another dose of the working spray.
The style that was left down received a deep side part. The parted side slicked back with the gel and secured with bobbypins that were hidden under the teased section. The top section of the head was teased from the crown to hairline. Nguyen then swept the heavier section across the forehead and secured with three bobby pins at the corner of the forehead. The tresses are given one more tousle and finished off with the working spray.
The Makeup: Bobbi Brown‘s Cassandra Garcia focused on healthy skin and a pout with real pop! She moisturized the skin with the Hydrating Face Cream before evening the skin’s tone with a combination of the Long-Wear Even Finish Compact and the Foundation Stick. The eyes were kept bare with a swipe of the Bone Eyeshadow, a thin line along the lashes of Black Ink Gel Liner, and a few coats of the Everything Mascara. Brows were muted with the Blonde Brow Gel while the cheeks had a slight flush thanks to the Pink Retouching Powder. The bright poppy hue of the lip came courtesy of the upcoming Blazing Red Rich Lip Color.
The Mani: No manicure here — the models walked the runway sans polish!
