The Show: The Blonds
The Hair: Never one for subtlety, the Blonds asked Nick Irwin and the Tigi Catwalk to craft an intergalatic top knot you had to see to believe! He slicked the hair up to the crown with the Sleek Mystique Look Lock Hair Spray, braided the tail, and wrapped it into a knot. Irwin blasted the hair with the brand’s Session Series Finishing Hair Spray for hold and the True Wax to pick up any baby hairs on the side. Then they carefully covered the knot with a giant hair ball made beforehand, securing it with lots of hair pins and another spritz of the finishing spray. Finally, he topped the look off with custom Space Age headbands to emphasize the ears.
The Makeup: “I wanted the look to feel fun and precocious just like Tweety, who gets away with anything just by batting those innocent eyes,” MAC’s Kabuki explained. After priming the eye with Bare Canvas, he applied Primary Yellow Chromacake on top with a very fine brush and “Bamboom” Eye Paints to sculpt the crease. He filled the waterline with a cyan Chromagraphic Pencil before adding a wing on the top lash line with Blacktrack Fluidline. Kabuki curling the lashes and applied #7 lashes. He reshaped the brows with concealer and brow pencil for a Vulcan princess spin. Skin stayed fresh with just a touch of Melba Blush on the apples and a slick of “Shy Girl” lipstick and clear gloss to perfect the pout.
The Nails: Once again Kristina Estabrooks and the rest of the CND team crafted an awe-inspiring array of nail art customized to fit in with the Tweety and Barbarella themes, using Swarovski crystals, tiny stars, wires, and watch gears for each set of nails.
