Jamie Chung Shares Her Front Row Fixtures

To be honest, we’re still bouncing back from our NYFW hangover, so to see Jamie Chung out and about was a surprise. The Once Upon a Time star came out to the premiere of Origins’ new documentary mere days after attending a slew of fashion shows. On the Road with Origins chronicled journey to find the ingredients of it latest launch, the Plantscription Anti-Aging Power Serum, on three different continents. In between bites of delicacies from France, Australia, and Ghana (where the ingredients were sourced), Glam got the scoop from the front row fixture on how she handled the madness.

We saw you a lot at the tents; how did you survive?

I was hanging onto a thread because as much as I love fashion shows, it was way too much for me. In the end, it’s all about the clothes, and I was thrilled to be a part of it and see what the designers have up their sleeves.

How did you treat yourself after all of the fashionable fêtes?

A lot of sleep, not enough exercise. Literally, I would go home at 9:00 p.m. and be in bed by 9:30 p.m. I need my beauty sleep. 

What would you pack in your Fashion Week survival kit next season?

If the bag was large enough, a private masseuse for daily appointments. (Just kidding.) It would be a gift certificate for a foot massage after wearing all the heels, a manicure/pedicure kit. It would have collagen eye patches, and lots of water, vitamin C, and hand sanitizer.

Who are some of your style icons?

Coco Rocha is here, and I was literally having a fangirl moment, but I really love Olivia Palermo and Miranda Kerr.

What is your favorite Origins product?

The new Plantscription Anti-Aging Power Serum - it uses all of the extracts they found in France, Australia, and Ghana. What I love about is all the natural ingredients, and I love that they’re doing this whole campaign so you can actually see the ingredients. I think that’s important to see versus tons of chemicals you don’t understand and putting it on your face.

When it comes to anti-aging, apparently no price is too high! Dr. Alexandrides of 111 Skin crafted the Celestial Black Diamond Cream, which was developed with former Soviet space scientists. Derived of a potent Vitamin C derivative, Escin, and black diamonds (yeah, you read that right), the cream increases antioxidants that protects and repair skin as well as increase circulation for better absorption. Zosia Mamet Talks Her New Tresses and Top Trends

It seems (platinum) blondes have more fun off the set of Girls. Zosia Mamet is the latest star to snag the Hollywood hue along with a chic cropped cut.

The HBO darling recently wrapped up season 4 – yes, we can’t wait for it either – allowing her to try out the bold color she hadn’t tested in a while just for fun. “I got to go blonder a few years ago for a play, and that was the first time I dyed my hair,” she told People in a new video. “I only got to have it for like three months, and then I had to go back to being a brunette for the show.”

The shade switch wasn’t her only big change – she rid herself of Shoshanna’s signature long locks in lieu of a cute ear-length bob, making it much easier for her to sleep at night.  Mamet explained, “If I turned over at night, I’d have to throw my hair [over] first, because it was so long that if I turned into it, it would strangle me. Having short hair is just so easy.”

When it comes to her own style she has a few sticking points, including picking fresh flats over haute heels and killer cross-bodies over cute clutches. But when it comes to her character, there’s no shortage of crafty hair accessories up her sleeve. “I don’t think you can choose between headbands or clips,” Mamet said. “She’d probably choose both.”

It wouldn’t be Fashion Month without a runway-ready collaboration or two taking over our newsfeed! NARS has announced its latest link up with Christopher Kane.

The designer and beauty have come together to craft a limited edition collection of eye lip, and cheek essential will make their debut on Kane’s runway this afternoon! Based on his bevy of fresh-faced beauties from seasons past, we expect to see nearly nude hues all wrapped in one of Kane’s innovative prints. “NARS has been a long-standing and valued partner of ours, so this collaboration was an obvious fit,” Kane said in a statement. “NARS has the same unapologetic aesthetic that is signature to the Christopher Kane brand and I’m excited to share what we’ve created together.”

The only drawbacks? We’ll a few months before seeing what the actual makeup looks like, then sit “patiently” until May 2015 to get our hands on everything. We’re marking our calendars now, as we’re sure the pieces will be well worth the wait!
