In an interview with the YouTube channel Pixiwoo, Mrs. West explained, “I go into her room, and I’m like, ‘What liner do you wear?,’ because she only wears a lip liner, and then she fills it in [with the same liner. She doesn’t wear lipstick or a gloss. She goes between [M.A.C.'s] Soar and Spice [pencils]. I use Stripdown.” Problem solved? [People]

All Hail the Queen: Helen Mirren is L’Oreal Paris’s Latest Lovely

Age ain’t nothin’ but a number to L’Oreal Paris, as it’s named Dame Helen Mirren as its newest ambassador for the U.K.

Mirren’s announcement comes less than a week after Naomi Watts was named the brand’s freshest international face. “I have always loved the L’Oréal Paris brand, and I am truly delighted to become an ambassador and join such an impressive group of high-achievers,” she said in a statement. “I am not gorgeous, I never was, but I was always OK-looking and I’m keen to stay that way.”

Mirren joins the recently acquired Jane Fonda in a string of mature mavens signed to big beauty brands this year including Jessica Lange for Marc Jacobs as well as Charlotte Rampling for Nars. Mirren’s campaign photos will be unretouched. “I hope I can inspire other women towards greater confidence by making the most of their natural good looks,” she said. “We are all worth it!”
