Beyonce and Gucci Go Global for Change

By  March 26, 2013

Queen Bey’s reign isn’t showing any signs of ending in the near future.

Mrs. Carter is headlining a global concert in London on June 1st to benefit Gucci’s international campaign Chime For Change, according to Vogue UK. The event will be broadcast around the world with performances from Florence and the Machine, Ellie Goulding, Iggy Azalea, John Legend, Laura Pausini, Timbaland and Rita Ora–who was also the belle of Karl Lagerfeld’s ball.

“This is the emergency and opportunity of today,” said Gucci creative director and Chime for Change co-founder Frida Giannini. “We have reached a significant moment in the history of the girls’ and women’s empowerment and now is the time for change. I hope that the Sound of Change Live will help the voices calling for change to become so loud that they cannot be ignored.”

And want better way to do that then to enlist the help of Beyoncè? Chime for Change? Collaborations with H&M? Maybe she did have a point  in asking you to bow down.

Tickets will go on sale at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, March 27th, starting at $89.20. Proceeds will benefit charities fighting for better education, justice, and health for women, or you can choose what charity the money will go to.
