Gianni Versace’s 10-bedroom Miami mansion where the designer was slain in 1997 is slated to hit the auction block in September starting at a cool $25 million.

Initially, the Ocean Drive mansion had been up for sale for more than a year with an asking price of $125 million. The price was lowered to $75 million and now, Casa Casurina will go under the gravel during a bankruptcy auction on September 17th.

Versace bought the 23,000-square-foot mansion in 1992 and spent $33 million dollars renovating it with the likes of hand-painted frescoes, Italian marble, stained glass, and a 54-foot pool lined with 24-karat gold.

After Donatella’s brother was fatally shot on the doorstep in 1997, the residence served as a hotel until closing up shop earlier this year.

“Every room is a work of art,” said Jill Eber, the real estate agent of current homeowner Peter Loftin. “If the person buying it is not already a celebrity, it gives them instant celebrity status—if they want it.”

Any takers?
