Whether it feels like it or not (go away, epic winter) bathing suit season is quickly approaching. Never one to let us down when it comes to bikinis, Victoria’s Secret launched its latest swim collection with the help of two Angels and a Surfset class at Chelsea Piers. Complete with high waisted bottoms, intricate lacing, crop tops, and enviable mix and match patterns, the new collection is everything a girl needs for the ideal summer. In anticipation of weekends away, tropical vacations, and warm days spent sunning in the park, we snagged Behati Prinsloo for a rapid fire interview regarding her summer plans, workout routine, and bikini of choice, of course.

Summer exercise:

“Summer time is easier for me to stay in shape because I love outdoor activities – beach volleyball, stand up paddle boarding, going hiking. It’s more fun to work out in summer. I longboat but I’m not very good. I went to hawaii last year, and surfed the whole time.”

Workout music of choice:

“I love the Police and Nirvana. I’m obsessed with the new song the happy song by Pharrell. Obsessed with it! I don’t have a playlist, I just feel how I feel and will put on something like Led Zeppelin or shuffle Pandora with whatever’s out now.”

Bikini color of choice:

“Black or floral prints or animal prints, but I usually am wearing all black.”

Bucket list item this summer:

“I’m trying my best to have time off to go to  Coachella to see Outkast. I’m obsessed, I’m so excited they’re gonna be there. I also really want to go to India.”

Last ditch effort to get beach ready:

“If I don’t feel bikini ready, have self tanning lotto, not a lot, not orange but a summer glow always makes me feel better. try to do some Pilates, yoga, run on the beach. Cut out sugar and salt. When I do the show or right before a bikini shoot, I just cut out sweets and salt.”
