Yesterday, I found these beautifully scented soaps by Oiseau at one of my favorite stores, Anthropologie.
They come with a nice little touch: a fanciful bit of prose printed on the label and tied with silk ribbon.
Flaming June (top) Strawberries and vanilla cream with ginger.
That intoxicating voice, the black night sky, the air thick with narcissus. When she closed her eyes she could taste it like a strawberry dipped in fresh cream.
Charmer - Sweet vanilla, lush fruit and citrus.
Her pulse quickened as she stepped into the ripening twilight. Already fashionably late, she set about blowing kisses to the honeysuckle bushes that crowded her doorstep. "Until I return my love, adieu."
Woman in Yellow - Tropical fruits and warm weather florals over a musky base.
Every morning she rose with the sun, a ritual punctually followed with peach blossom tea and grapefruit. For refreshment, she walked through the woods. There was life to be lived!
Darling Blue - Egyptian sandalwood, white pepper, vanilla and citrus.
Finally, there was nowhere to be. She wrapped herself in a lilac shawl as soft as mimosa flowers and sat back to enjoy the view in her favorite chair.
Oiseau soaps $8.00 each.
