I was, to quote
Miss Heidi, on pins and needles waiting for the new special edition
Seventeen outsert edited by none other than celeb-socialite-stylist-vintage extraordinaire
Rachel Zoe. I finally got my magazine-hording hands on a copy of deLUXE (and it wasn't easy, as the mag is for subscribers only, which I am not). I must admit that only Rachel Zoe fanatics (I'm pretty sure that would just be
Lindsay Lohan and
Nicole Richie apply) should bother combing recycling centers and doctors offices for copies of this advertisement excuse for a magazine.
The photography is nice, the editor's letter is interesting, but other than the four above pages, the rest were ads. Seriously. It was 20 pages of Rachel Zoe-approved advertisements. And the pages that weren't officially advertisements might as well have been. They were Rachel Zoe-approved accessories and dresses, none costing less than $500, that we need to buy.So Rachel Zoe, stick to your celebrity styling. We love you, we really do, but don't you have enough clones as it is? Do you really need 12 year olds in Arkansas starving themselves and insisting that they must own the latest
Missoni dress and
Chanel purse? I think not. Leave the editing to Atoosa.-tf
