Richard Gere was a hottie icon of the early seventies and eighties. Who can forget his earlier films? “Baby Blue Marine” (1976), “Looking For Mr. Goodbar” (1977), “American Gigolo” (1980), “An Officer and a Gentleman” (1982) and of course, “Pretty Woman,” which co-starred Julia Roberts, in 1990.
Since the eighties, his career has seemed to turn rather lukewarm, however he’s put in some good performances in “First Knight” (1995), “The Runaway Bride” (1999), “Chicago” (2002) and starred opposite Jennifer Lopez in “Shall We Dance?” back in 2004. These days, Gere is working on “Nights in Rodanthe” (co-starring Diane Lane) and “Hachiko: A Dog’s Story,” which is reportedly based on the true story of a college professor’s bond with the abandoned dog he takes into his home - which probably wont do much for his career, but then again, everyone loves a good dog story, so who knows?
All that aside, what I really want to know is one thing: Is Richard Gere still hot…or not?
