Winona Ryder on Vogue - PIC

I know, I should probably repeat that. Winona Ryder is on the August cover of Vogue Magazine. When is the last time we’ve seen Winona on anything? I have to admit, she’s looking pretty good. I didn’t recognize her at first.

So do we think they gave her a copy, or did she have to steal one? She does a little explaining in the mag,

“The attention was what was embarrassing,” she tells Vogue. “It was the December after Sept. 11. â?¦ So much attention was being paid to me, when we had just been attacked, and there was all this really important news going on.”

She describes what was happening before the arrest. “Two months prior to that, I broke my arm in two places, and the doctor â?¦ was giving me a lot of stuff (Oxycodone, not to be confused with OxyContin), and I was taking it at first to get through the pain. And then there was this weird point when you don’t know if you are in pain but you’re taking it.” She continues: “Have you ever taken painkillers? It isn’t a reckless (state), like you’re out of your head. It’s just confusion.”

“I didn’t have this tremendous sense of guilt,” she adds, “because I hadn’t hurt anyone. â?¦ Had I physically harmed someone or caused harm to a human being, I think it would have been an entirely different experience.

So, more than four years after the conviction and sentencing of fine, probation and community service, Ryder has three small movie comedies coming: The Ten (in limited release Aug. 3), Sex and Death 101 (from the guy who wrote Heathers) and The Last Word with Ray Romano.
