OK, so Nics Sticks have caused quite the buzz in the beauty world and beyond in the past few months. The convenient little tubes even made their way onto Oprah during her Favorite Things for Summer episode last month. Cool Heat is the latest semi-collection to launch this summer in the world of MAC. It doesnt seem to be as big of a hit as Neo Sci-Fi and Im blaming that on the fact that were all a sucker for limited edition packaging. There are three products in the collection, but most are re-releases of past items that did well. Slimshine Lipstick was a hit when it launched several months ago, and the new colors are succulent enough to get you through summer with just a bit of bronzer and plumped-up lashes. My favorite is Swelter, which is a blue-based red that is sheer to begin with (as all Slimshines are) and intensifies when layered. MACs Tendertones collection launches a handful of new colors for the cult product. If you havent given Tendertones a whirl, know its a super supple lip gloss that has a hint of color and loads of moisture, perfect for sticky summer days. Im a huge fan of Lipglass for the way it makes my lips look...not so much how it makes them feel. Im definitely not a fan of my hair sticking to my lips as I run to catch the bus, or attempt to look cool while waiting in line outside a concert.
