NEAT Receipts is, well, a pretty neat idea. NEAT Receipts is a scanner and software hybrid that allows you to scan your receipts into your computer. This is a stellar organizing option, as opposed to having a file cabinet full of messy saved receipts.
Features & benefits:
- Scan, analyze and organize your receipts, bills, business cards, warranties, small business expenses and invoices, medical records, recipes, school records, and more. Really anything paper can be stored with this system.
- Store all of the above on your computer database. For example store your receipts and business cards in Excel and Outlook.
- Fully compatible with Turbo Tax, Quicken and QuickBooks.
- Eases the work you or your accountant need to do come tax season.

While the initial set-up is a little pricey, I can’t help but think that the system will pay for itself over time. Your office and desk will stay neater, you may end up with more returns on your taxes, and the time you save sorting paper will be drastically cut.
