The sci-fi thriller 'Jumper' came in first at the box office this weekend, making $27.2 million, according to studio estimates.
In 'Jumper,' HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN plays a young man who discovers that he has a genetic abnormality that allows him to teleport or "jump" anywhere in the world, but he also finds out that there is a war to annihilate "jumpers" like him. SAMUEL L. JACKSON, DIANE LANE and RACHEL BILSON co-star.
'Step Up 2 the Streets' premiered in second place with $19.7 million. The sequel to 2006's 'Step Up' follows a budding romance between dancers (BRIANA EVIGAN and ROBERT HOFFMAN) at the Maryland School for the Arts.
