The clever stars of SARAH JESSICA PARKER's new movie, 'Smart People,' stepped out in the Big Apple Monday night for the film's premiere.

The "Sex and the City" star's hubby MATTHEW BRODERICK was on hand, but she said it wasn't a true "date night," because getting ready for the premiere involved a bit more preparation than a typical date for her and Matthew. "When I go out with my husband I can get ready in 20 minutes for some reason," she joked.

And when asked who's the smartest person she knows, she said a combination of her mother and mother-in-law, saying the two of them were the smartest and the wisest people in her life.
