With a design philosophy that menswear can be exciting, colorful and handsome, its no wonder the design duo behind label Duckie Brown are being noticed in a big way. Duckie Brown has been nominated for CFDAs Menswear Designer of the Year Award just five years after launching their label. The two other nominees are Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein.
Steven Cox and Daniel Silver comprise the duo behind the Duckie Brown label. Cox is a former designer at Tommy Hilfiger; Silver is a former TV producer. Their unique vision for mens dressing that borders on street wear and the classic has a very fashion forward attitude that is aspirational.
Their fans include Jude Law, Adrien Brody, Kevin Bacon, Matt Damon, Green Day, Beck, Ricky Martin, Black Eyed Peas, Rod Stewart, Graham Norton and Ashton Kutcher.
Duckie Browns creations have also been recognised by Victoria & Albert Museum in London (V&A) as part of the museums New York Fashion Now exhibition running from 17 Apr 07- 23 Sept 07. Other designers part of this exhibition include Zac Posen, Thom Browne, Cloak, Proenza Schouler, Derek Lam, Three As Four, Costello Tagliapietra, Behnas Sarafpour and Tess Giberson.
Based off this brands amazing success you would think theyd be at stores across the nation, but this dynamic duos goal for steady growth means you can only find this indie fave at about 10-15 shops in the world.
