I’ve noticed something interesting in recent years. And what might that be? you ask. No problem, I’m happy to tell you.
It’s this: Actors seems to be more and more versatile between different mediums, i.e. movies, TV shows, Broadway, music, even web-isodes. Here are a few actors who spring to mind as being fabulously multi-talented:
Sela Ward. She showed up on “House, M.D.” in recent years, but before that, she gained fame on ABC’s “Once and Again” and can also be seen in the upcoming feature film, “The Stepfather.”
Patrick Dempsey. Sure, he’s McDreamy on “Grey’s Anatomy,” but he wow’d us in last year’s “Enchanted,” not to mention tons of movies dating back to the 80’s. Remember him as that skinny kid in “Loverboy“?
More after the jump!
Edward James Olmos. He’s Commander William Adama on “Battlestar Galactica,” but his long movie and TV career dates back to the 1970s (we’ll never forget Lt. Castillo on “Miami Vice”?), and he’s featured in the upcoming films, “Beverly Hills Chihuahua” and “The Crystal Frontier.”
Keifer Sutherland. Yes, we know he’s Jack Bauer on Fox’s “24,” but he also has a long movie career and can be heard this fall in “Dragonlance: Dragons of Autumn Twilight” and next year in “Monsters Vs. Aliens.”
Keith Carradine. He plays Special Agent Frank Lundy on Showtime’s “Dexter,” but his movie and TV career spans five decades. Look for him in the upcoming feature films, “Lake City” and “Winter of Frozen Dreams.”
Eva LaRue. She played Maria Santos for years on ABC’s “All My Children.” Now she shares screen time with David Caruso on “CSI: Miami,” and can be seen in the upcoming feature film, “Lakeview Terrace.”
Dominic Monaghan. Well, obviously, he was Merry on the wildly popular “Lord of the Rings” franchise. But he was able to parlay that into a nice role as Charlie on “Lost.” Look for him next year in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.”
Tell me: Who are your favorite multi-talented stars?
