The Council of Fashion Designers of America will be hosting their annual CFDA Fashion awards, sponsored by Swarovski, in five days. The awards are given for journalism, creative vision, and lifetime achievement, and reward the fashion industry's best and brightest.
Some of the most exciting awards include the Swarovski awards for womenswear, menswear, and accessory design, which reward new designers to the scene. This year promises to be as exciting as ever. Honorees include photographer Patrick Demarchelier, who is receiving the Eleanor Lambert Award and designer Ralph Lauren, who will be receiving the Fashion Legend Award (well-deserved, I love Ralph Lauren).
