Fashion has always been tagged as a jet-set market full of VIP galas and events, crowded with celebrities and stunning looking people, and thats indeed what it is - at least one part of it. If you dont believe then check-out the Scottish Fashion Awards, a unique type of event where aristocracy meets contemporary hipsters.
The awards are held at the Stirling Castle, one of Scotlands greatest landmarks. The landscape is almost paradisaical and the atmosphere quite exquisite, but what about fashion? Well, over the years the dainty ceremony has become more and more fashion forward and the quality standard has gotten impressively high. Among this years nominees for best Scottish fashion designer, Christopher Kane stands quite above. He is my favorite artist, and Im sure most of the high thinking critics believe the same. He won last years award for Young Scottish Designer/New Talent of the Year, and since then he has been getting more industry approval and big names like Donatella Versace have been supporting his work.
Other perks of the night will include chauffeurs and Bentleys for those arriving from abroad; A sumptuous gala dinner with entertainment provided by a British/Scots pop sensation; and a after show party ran well past midnight.
