Joining a growing list of hotel properties that have opted to become non-smoking, Choice Hotels announced today that it would join that list on May 1st, 2007, when all of the rooms and public areas in its Comfort Suite properties become completely smoke-free.
To commemorate the change to smoke-free, Choice Hotel is donating $10,000 to the American Cancer society.
No word, however, on when the remaining hotels in the corporate brand will be smoke-free as well. That includes: Cambria Suites, Comfort Inn, Quality, Clarion, Sleep Inn, MainStay Suites, Suburban Extended Stay Hotel, Econo Lodge, and Rodeway Inn.
