I hate these, let's just get that straight from the beginning. But
the Chanel fabric-wrapped sandals and their Topshop alternatives deserve a mention in the 2006 top 50 purely for the splash that they made when they hit the catwalk. Love them or absolutely loathe them, there's no denying these shoes turn heads, as the high fashion fans who gave them a go can no doubt concur. For me, they're just a step too far into the obscure...
