I'll be straight. I'm a lazy girl. Don't get me wrong, I like to look good and I'll put up with all that good grooming entails. But, if I can find a way to kill two birds with one stone, I'm there. Moisturizer with sunscreen. Nail polish with built-in top coat. These products were made for me. But, my favorite double-duty beauty product has always been face cleanser plus makeup remover.
For what seems like ages-- easily 8 years or more-- I've used Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Face Cleanser. It's inexpensive, available at every drugstore, and makes quick work of makeup removal and cleansing, even mascara and eyeliner. But, the downside is the necessity of giving up the benefits of a high-end cleanser with moisturizing and anti-aging elements. Neutrogena is utilitarian and efficient, but hardly spa quality.
By chance, during a weekend beauty shopping spree, I ran across Fresh Soy Face Cleanser. I've always loved Fresh products, so I absentmindedly picked up the tube and read the back. "Safe to use around the eye, and removes all makeup (even mascara)." Seriously? A high-end, spa quality cleanser that does the double duty of cleansing and makeup removal. No freaking way. I was doubtful, so I bought a sample size on the spot.
I'll cut to the chase, ladies. This stuff is the real deal. Fresh Soy Face Cleanser is a low-sudsing lotion gel formula that smells like the most heavenly cucumber puree. It takes less than a dime-size dollop to completely cleanse your face and remove all traces of makeup-- even mascara and the three layers of brow enhancing products I use daily. My face washing ritual now feels like a treat, not a duty. And, after a week of twice-daily usage, I can report that my face actually looks clearer, brighter, and-- strange as it sounds-- happier. I can't recommend Fresh Soy Face Cleanser highly enough.
