Continued from LL Cool J in Men⿿s Fitness.

If you want to know how LL Cool J stays in shape, here is LL Cool J⿿s workout:

WARMUP: 10 minutes each of jogging and stretching.

Three sets of seated dumbbell presses, 5-6 reps: He uses 60-pound weights for the first set, 80 pounds for the second, and 100 pounds for the third.

10 pushups with a 45-pound weight on his back.

AB-CIRCUT: 20-30 juggle crunches; LL balances two 15-pound medicine balls on his elevated shins with his back on the floor. He grabs a ball and does a crunch, then grabs the other ball and repeats.

15 sledge-abbers: Lying on his back, LL grabs a sledgehammer (or a 10-pound dumbbell) with both hands and, starting from above his right shoulder, takes it across his torso and places it down near the middle of his left thigh in a swinging motion.

10 weighted crunches: LL completes these while holding a 10-pound dumbbell over his head.

10-20 standing situps: Performs a crunch into the standing position. Slowly rolls back down and repeats.

30 elevated crunches: Does three sets of 10, each at different leg elevations.

Jump-rope for one minute: Rests one minute. Begins cycle again and completes six sets.

CARDIO: Warms up with boxing drills. With his trainer pulling on an elastic band attached to a harness, he sprints 50 feet in 10 resistance drills.

Treadmill run: Warms up at 6.0 speed for a quarter mile before bringing that up to 8 for a quarter mile. He switches it up to a sprint at 10.5 with a two-to-three incline for 30-second intervals for a total of 45 minutes before bringing it down for a mile run.
