Find Your Size
1. Measure yourself at the rib cage right below the breasts. If the number is odd, add four. If its even, add five. Thats your bra size.
2. Next, measure the fullest part of your bust. Subtract your rib cage measurement from this number. You should have a number between 1 and 12. For every inch of difference, you get a cup size. In other words, a one inch difference is an A, two inches is a B, three inches is a C, etc.
Test the Bra
* Comfort: If you feel any chafing, pressure or irritation, try something else.
* Straps: They should neither dig into your shoulders, nor slip off.
* Cups: Floating in empty space? Youve gone too big. Spilling over? Youve chosen something too small.
* Underwire: Make sure its positioned flush up against your rib cage, both on your sternum and under your arms. If the center between the cups is floating between your breasts or if its pushing onto the sides of the breast rather than the ribs, youve gone too small.
* Band: It should fit comfortably at the last or middle notch right below your shoulder blades. If it sits high on your back (on or above the shoulder blades), the band is too large.
