Kelly Ripa left ⿿Live with Regis & Kelly⿿ this morning about halfway through the show due to illness. The show, broadcast live from the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas, featured Kelly Ripa early on seeming to have low energy. She got through the opening and an interview with Tim Gunn from ⿿Project Runway,⿿ but was not seen again for the rest of the show.
Co-host Regis Philbin said that Kelly Ripa was feeling ⿿a little bit under the weather. We hope she’ll be back before the show is over.” She did not return for the rest of the show.
Kelly Ripa⿿s rep explained the illness as ⿿a little case of the flu and she didn’t do the second show. That’s all. It’s holiday season and it’s flu season, even in the Bahamas.”
