Mark Ronson has been nominated for three Brit Awards, but he says that he thinks he’ll leave this year’s awards show empty handed:
He said: I definitely didnt expect it and I dont think Ill win at all.
I dont think that because Im up for three that means I have a better chance.
I mean Im up for Best Album and its full of covers.
Best Male Solo artist is also quite weird since all my records are collaborations. However you ceratinly wont find me complaining about it all.
Its really amazing to be acknowledged by the British music industry as a British musician.
Ive lived in America for a lot of my life but Ive always felt British and proud to be so. I didnt work with British acts like Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen just so I could get recognized over here.
The New York based producer has lived in the States a lot of his life, but said that he always felt British. He’s up for British Male Solo Artist, Best British Single (for Valerie), and Best Album for Version at next month’s ceremony.
