Ok, maybe not quite at warp speed, but just hearing those legendary words, “Space…the final frontier…” in the trailer is enough to make me giddy with excitement. The new “Star Trek” movie is scheduled to hit theaters on December 25, 2008.

As Jeanne mentioned last week, the trailer is now playing in theaters in front of “Cloverfield.”

The official “Star Trek” site has launched, as well. As I write this, the trailer is the main thing on the site, but I’m sure more intel will be added in the coming weeks. You can register for updates, and a forum is coming soon.
