Miu Miu, which has grown out from under the shadow of big sister
Prada to set trends in it's own right had some really lovely bags in the spring line.

This dragonfly shoulder bag, carried as a clutch in a patchwork of purple and mauve skins feels both old and new at the same time. It's the sort of bag you're sure you've seen in some fabulous vintage store, but this is cleaner and more streamlined than similar vintage styles.

In a similar color
palette, this pouch, the simplest of styles, is elevated with the same patchwork treatment. A fresh take on the small bag, and in a style that actually holds something thicker than a credit card!

There were misses too. This bag, with it's door knocker handle is an example of bad hardware
happening to an OK bag. The stripes on their own are preppy and cute, and the shape is classic, but add the circa 80's towel bar, and it's a miss.

Definitely interesting to look at, this puffy envelope looks like it has promise. I love the shade of pink, and the shiny hardware gives it a Palm Beach flashiness. I'd love a chance to it in action.
