It seems that we have always taken the Wishbone from the turkey each year and hung it over one of the cupboard door knobs to dry. And then, a few months later, someone would remember it, grab it and then find someone to help them make their wish come true. Its all kind of fuzzy at the moment. We dont even think about it anymore. Does anyone out there save wishbones Seems to me that I remember hearing a story years ago about a family that saved all of their wishbones each holiday and stored them in the attic. I wish I could remember more of that story. So, tell us your wishbone traditions!!

If anyone out there has any left-over turkey to spare, you can send it my way. Our Thanksgiving was last month and it will be another month before we will be enjoying it again. But, with that in mind, I went looking to see what recipes I could come up with for we we DO have turkey left-overs again! Here’s what I found to start us off!

Fruit and Turkey Salad with strawberries, oranges and banana slices, this is one really good salad. No one is going to complain that they are sick of turkey!

Smoked Turkey Tortilla Wraps *I had one of these for lunch at the mall a few days ago and they were really stingy with the turkey. If you make these wraps, make sure that you are generous!

Crockpot Turkey Soup *I just love recipes where you dump the stuff in and then it does all the work!!

Creamed Turkey… I kind of like this recipe and it seems pretty easy. It should take no time to whip up and then serve it all over a bed of noodles. That leaves you plenty of time to get on with the present wrapping. I love Christmas, but I have to be the world’s worst present wrapper. NO PATIENCE!

Turkey Curry… this should go over really well at our house. We love curries of all kinds here. Must have something to do with how cold it is and how warm and filling curries can be!

My daughter can’t get her head around the fact that I don’t care if I am surprised on Christmas morning. I would rather pick out what I want and then point it out to her. It’s also a good way to not let her spend too much. Now that she is working full time, it’s easy for her to get carried away and there are better things for her to spend her money on than her dad and me.

So, I know that I am getting this wine decanter but I’m supposed to forget so that it’s a surprise on Christmas morning and it’s available at Home Outfitter for $29.99. Works for me lol…

I missed getting my entry in this year, thanks to two Root Canals that I had to go through yesterday and a Mom who has been quite ill this past month.
