The recent
International Buildersâ¿¿ Show held in Florida attracted more than 1,900 exhibitors. Dina ElBoghdady of the Washington Post gives a rundown of the new anti-clutter products seen at the show.
The offerings went beyond the closet organization systems popularized in recent years.
Some manufacturers are re-examining the toilet, the microwave and even the fireplace, looking for ways to make them less bulky, more hidden and certainly more pleasing to the eye.
Among the products geared for home organization are:
- Laundry 123 tower from Whirlpool (photo above) - two oversized drawers and a shallower tray for organizing laundry supplies.
- The Radium by Lennox - a ventless gas fireplace that hangs flat against a wall
- Jumbo Cabinet by Gladiator GarageWorks - 6 feet x 2 feet of storage for the garage
