This is something I forget to do so this reminder comes at a good time. Cleaning the range hood filter is not a very obvious chore but it needs to be done once in a while. Here⿿s how:
Up inside, you⿿ll find a mesh filter ⿿ probably a bit sticky from built-up grease. Remove it and let it sit in a sink full of hot water and liquid dish detergent. Then scrub both sides with a brush and rinse it clean with more hot water. While there, wash out the inside of the hood, too.
It⿿s not recommended to clean the filter in the dishwasher as it will leave a greasy film behind, which can be very difficult to remove.
