The "bandage dress" is back! Off the fashion scene for more than 10 years, the Herve Leger brand returned to the runway Sunday thanks to American designer Max Azria (best known for his work with BCBG). It was the first time the French brand, a favorite of Victoria Beckham, has ever been shown at New York Fashion Week. Reinventing, redesigning and reintroducing iconic brands is the buzz here this week. (Halston makes a return tomorrow. Peter Som debuts his Bill Blass line Thursday.) "I'm thrilled to be bringing the glamour and senusality of Herve Leger back to the runway," Azria said in press notes. The collection was full of form-fitting dresses with the line's signature banding construction (hence the name "bandage dress.")
