Ashley TisdaleThis is Ashley Tisdale from High School Musical for those of you who don't know. I kept seeing her pop up in various bikinis and it was annoying me so I looked her up. Then I finally watched High School Musical last night for the first time and I figured I should watch the TV movie that is considered a phenomenom. Though I found the dialogue to be trite and the characters to be un-original I saw what the appeal would be to 12-year-olds and all children for that matter. The music is pretty catchy, the dancing is fun and everyone is quite attractive so it works. I will even admit that Zac Efron, the new teen idol, is quite adorable but looks 15 so he is adorable like a puppy is adorable. He was older looking in Hairspray but he still has that looks that screams jailbait and his hair is way too styled. Well at least they got high schoolers that actually looked like high schoolers. Vanessa Hudgens was not too annoyingly sweet as well and she had a decent voice. The only funny part though (and by funny I mean slightly funny) was this Ashley Tisdale girl and Lucas Grabeel who played her brother. I guess the lesson was good which was basically don't put people in stereo-types and deep down everyone loves musical theater and is a professional dancer. The sequel is coming soon to the Disney channel and there are apparently CDs and a tour going on which looks embarassing for these actors but hey they are laughing all the way to the bank. Anyway Ashley and Kristen both need to get some pants.
