A bizarre e-mail has been circulating round the lingerie industry this weekend, announcing the demise of Igor Pacemski and his designer label, Yes Master. The e-mail, quoted below, cited “considerable financial losses” and “personal reasons” as the cause of the closure, and darkly alluded to UK immigration charges being held against Pacemski himself.
It all sounds quite dire for Pacemski, but the entire story is a fabrication - Igor is doing well (with no immigration trouble!), and in fact, Yes Master is expanding into private label work and worldwide distribution. Cristie Herbert, Yes Master’s PR agent, confirmed that “it’s a hoax” and that someone had been sending the bizarre e-mails to the press and Yes Master stockists since Friday night.
A few publications actually ran the story, which is why we’re spreading the message that this is just a hoax. Of course, the real question is who in the world started it? Igor doesn’t know but thinks it’s someone “outside of the industry,” (they said Harni Bendels? Really?). We tracked the IP address from our e-mail back to a London-based internet service provider, and the Hotmail address used turned out to be a fake. We thought the hoax might have been started by Igor himself (we wouldn’t put it past him!), but he promised he had nothing to do with it and laughed, “If i had written it, I would have said I was dead!”
Igor is one of the few proper “fashion designers” in the lingerie industry (with all of the fashion designer drama and glamour attached), so it’s no surprise that this very public lingerie melodrama centers around him. The biggest upset in this industry is usually who-snogged-who gossip after the Karaoke night at Harrogate. We’re not sure why someone would mount a targeted, lengthy attack on Yes Master and Igor, but we have a feeling this mystery will just add to the notoriety of the already-infamous brand.

The darling of Britons lingerie business closes Yes Master brand
Igor Pacemski announced today closure of his lingerie brand Yes Master. After two years and several amazing shows at London Fashion Week, Pacemski has decided to call it a day. Mr Pacemski denies it was due to media rumours that he was living in the United Kingdom as an illegal immigrant for the last 7 years that he was finally apprehended by the authorities.
Earlier he stated, “Despite four seasons, I am afraid that I have decided to call it a day and return to my home country of Macedonia for personal reasons. It is upsetting to be closing the brand I created some three years ago but has nothing to do with my immigration status, which is currently in question. I have yet to speak to the authorities and will cooperate with them fully on any charges brought before me. Also I have decided to close my shop in Teddington due to considerable financial losses over the last year. Even though people are questioning my loyalty, saying I have lied and cheated them out of monies, I promise to repay all creditors who I owe before I leave the UK.”
Yes Master was fast becoming a well known lingerie brand in the UK. It has been sold all over the world including Harni Bendels, Barneys and Victoria Secrets in the USA although it never made any money. Pacemski was in talks with River Island and Miss
Selfridges in the UK but sadly quality issues and poor choices in materials stopped them from stocking the lines. The last season has just hit the shops and is a fitting tribute to the brand that was Yes Master.
