Do you ever have those days when you're just going to be in the house and all you want to put on are your boyfriend-fit loose jeans and a pair of comfy shoes and relax? Well comfortable for me, with my narrow feet and shoe-abused toes, is not high heels - it's not even kitten heels. I wear both for the necessity of fashion and being a shoeaholic but actually, to relax, all I want are a pair of Converse or Keds flats. Read on to see the best of the bunch for the perfect comfortable shoes!

First stop on my quest is a little detour to the Topshop website. For just 15 you can pick up these canvas round toe check print pumps. Easy to wear and cheap, cheap, cheap, I chose them because I thought you'd probably be able to get away with them with both your skinny jeans and your new high-waisted ones.
Of course I couldn't have looked at comfortable shoes without taking a look at the trusty Keds range, as made even more popular through being associated with Mischa Barton. To get a very Mischa Barton-esque look (well, her look in the publicity photos - I've actually never even seen her wearing them when she hasn't been required to) how about these Champion stripes slip ons. Available in a massive range of colours, you could even take a leaf out of Ms Barton's book herself and team them with a pretty dress or skirt. Plus, at US$39.99 they're just such a bargain, I love it!
If you're after something with a little bit more support though, then Converse is probably the way to go. You can go down the classic route with these 34.99 red and white ones. If you like shoes with a conscience too, then you may be interested to know that all the manufacturers profits from this style will go to the Red Project Charity.
For something a little brighter, these Chuck Taylor rainbow shoes are available for US$66.99 with 5% of the net wholesale price going to The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria. Who says trainers can't make a statement, too?!
However, before we get too overjoyed at the choice available, let us remember that this isn't always a good thing, as love Shoewawa writer Jess reminded us back in November with these trainers-come-kitten heels!
